A lovely couple time at Marina at Keppel Bay

It ain’t my first Yacht ride, but it’s an all-time awesome one!

Shawn and I were invited on board The Admiral for a quick getaway trip to Lazarus Island. The Admiral is one of the many yachts you can charter at Marina at Keppel Bay. It has a beautiful luxurious interior and a spacious deck. There were 16 of us (excluding crew members) on board and there was still plenty of room! Being the nature lovers that we are, Shawn and I spent most of our journey time on the main deck, soaking in the sea breeze and island views.

We did take some time to explore The Admiral’s saloon and its 3 cabins though! The entire space was aesthetically designed to a classic European feel and it felt like a good place to host parties or simply to chill with friends. I’m a neat freak and it makes me happy to see that everything was kept spick and span ?

In case you’ve not been to Lazarus Island, I highly recommend that you make a trip there. They have one of the best beaches in Singapore, with clearer waters than what you get in East Coast or Sentosa! If you like having a ‘private beach’ to yourself, that’s the place to go.

To supply your beach entertainment needs, The Admiral even comes with 2 double kayaks, a BBQ grill, beach toys for the kids, a floating mat and even a sound system! Getting to Lazarus on your own can be a hassle, but with a yacht charter, everything’s taken care of.

You can charter a 15pax package on The Admiral or any third party yacht to receive a $50.00 dining voucher from one of the restaurants at Marina at Keppel Bay. A 20pax or above package entitles you to a $100.00 dining voucher. If you’re looking to host a small party, rates start from as low as $750+ for a 2-hour sail for 10pax. Or dockside at only $300+ for 4 hours with 10pax.

Once you’ve gotten your dining voucher from the yacht charter, be sure to visit one of the mouth-watering restaurants within Marina at Keppel Bay. Shawn and I headed for Sushi Jiro at Keppel Bay, which serves up authentic Japanese cuisine specialising in fresh handpicked produce air-flown up to 4 times a week from Japan. Shawn and I love Japanese food, and you could literally see the sparkle in Shawn’s eyes when the tantalising food arrived.

One of our favourite dishes was the wagyu beef which was a savoury and succulent delight – I enjoyed each and every bite of it… If only I could have it all to myself! We also had a variety of sashimi, each piece fresh and sweet. Their grilled dishes, such as the unagi, were also really good.

All in all, a must visit for lovers of Japanese food! If you’re looking to head there soon, you’re in luck!

Marina at Keppel Bay is holding a ‘CNY Prosperous Pop-Up Fair’ on Sat & Sun, 11 – 12 Jan, 4pm – 9pm.
