Today must be a blog spree day due to certain deadlines. I work fantastic with deadlines don’t I? 😛 I’ve just got an hour before going out for a dinner appointment so I thought why not work on another quick post which products I am (mostly already) familiar with?! 😀

From left to Right
Yves Saint Laurent ‘Forever Youth Liberator’ Crème SPF 15
Yves Saint Laurent ‘Forever Youth Liberator’ Lotion
Yves Saint Laurent ‘Forever Youth Liberator’ Serum
Yves Saint Laurent ‘Forever Youth Liberator’ Cleansing Foam
Yves Saint Laurent ‘Forever Light Creator’ CC Creme Colour Corrector in Rose (New Product)
I will be giving my review following normal Skincare and Makeup Routine steps, so that you may follow much easier 🙂
Yves Saint Laurent ‘Forever Youth Liberator’ Cleansing Foam

The texture of this cleansing foam is more cream like and a little squeeze can go a long way. Winner of WWD magazine’s ‘Prestige Brand of the Year’ award; 2012 and Winner of Allure magazine’s ‘Best of Beauty’ award for Best Breakthrough, 2012, this cleanser really does live up to it’s name!
Having sensitive and oily skin, I find this product really soft and gentle on my skin. However, that said, it magically cleanses always all traces of makeup even without having to use any makeup remover beforehand, leaving my skin perfectly cleansed. How about that mascara? I have not tried it on water proof ones yet, but if you are wearing normal to water resistant mascaras, you can safely ditch away your stinging eye makeup removers and trust this baby instead.
With a moist face, the cream lather up and transforms into a dense, fine foam with soft tiny bubbles. The end result is a comfortable fresh face.
The only set back is the chemicals like scent, which might explain it’s powers. Nonetheless, this is the product I’ll definately bring around with me on travels for it’s multipurpose, gentle and deep cleansing properties.
Yves Saint Laurent ‘Forever Youth Liberator’ Lotion

The first step of every skincare regime should be the toner, and this lotion is exactly what is it. I am not sure why some brands prefer to name their toners as lotion, and others use lotion liberally for everything else like essence and even moisturisers, I can get a little confusing sometimes ( I recently for NUXE White Lotion thinking it is a moisturiser. I should have gotten the NUXE White Emulsion instead. How confusing!)

The lotion is a light water liquid form that quickly and easily absorbs into your skin, leaving a nice cooling sensation. Again, it is the Winner of WWD magazine’s ‘Prestige Brand of the Year’ award; 2012 and Winner of Allure magazine’s ‘Best of Beauty’ award for Best Breakthrough, 2012 ( I guess 2012 was the year for YSL…). I usually skip the cotton swipe and simply tap the lotion into my palms and pat them lightly onto my face. I find it faster and less wasteful as most of the product gets left on the cotton swipe and thrown away.
‘ It is an ultra-gentle lotion which prepares the skin for the anti-aging efficacy of Forever Youth Liberator skincare products. It gives the complexion a transparent appearance and helps erase signs of fatigue.’ – nordstrom.com
This sample came without the box for me but I am pretty sure there is alcohol in it, so for ladies sensitive to alcohol, you might want to sample it before purchasing a full size.
Yves Saint Laurent ‘Forever Youth Liberator’ Serum

I am mad in love with this serum. This serum contains the highest concentration of GlycanActif among all the other products in the Forever Youth Series to stimulate regeneration deep within the skin and to boost youth-promoting functions. With this serum, my skin appeared brighter and softer, with improved texture and a clearer complexion. It’s moisturising effect need not be emphasised.
I am currently still using this serum and until recently, switched it for night use only as the weather got hotter and I needed lighter and more cooling serums.
Of course, once again it is the
- Winner of WWD magazine’s ‘Prestige Brand of the Year’ award; 2012.
- Winner of Allure magazine’s ‘Best of Beauty’ award for Best Breakthrough, 2012.

Ain’t the sample KAWAII!??

A tiny drop goes a long way…
Note that this product contains Alcohol too.
Yves Saint Laurent ‘Forever Youth Liberator’ Crème SPF 15

This is something new that I have previously not tried before. Having used it on several occasions the past few weeks, I am happy to report that this Yves Saint Laurent ‘Forever Youth Liberator’ Crème SPF 15 worked well for me in the increasingly sweltering weather. The formula is between that of medium to thick, however, it absorbs really fast and well into the skin with only a tinge of slight stickiness which can be later rectified with some loose powder. I believe the stickiness stems from the SPF, which usually leaves a slightly sticky after effect for most products.
Stickiness aside, it is a good trade off for a whole day of moisture and radiance. This creme contains mirror-effect micro-shimmer particles that makes the skin look radiant and supple instantly. I even skipped my primer and makeup base as a test, which this baby passed just fine 🙂

Yves Saint Laurent ‘Forever Light Creator’ CC Creme Colour Corrector in Rose

This is a new YSL product that was launched earlier in March this year and for a first CC Cream by YSL, it boosts a surprisingly good number of skin loving ingredients – Apricot Kernel Oil, Macadamia Ternifolia Seed Oil, Jojoba Seed Oil etc. It is also integrated with GlycanactifWT™ complex which can also be found in most YSL Forever Youth Liberator series and boosts a high SPF of 35 PA+++.

The formula and pretty runny , lightweight and easy to blend. True to what a CC Cream should do, the product adapted to the colour of my skin, giving it a natural looking radiant finish.

It is available in three shades to answer all skin colour irregularities:
- Apricot: For a healthy golden glow
- Lavender: For a natural bright glow
- Rose: For a fresh rosy glow
Since the shades differ by a lot and I’ve only had the Rose shade on hand, I wouldn’t think I’ve got a good review of this CC Cream. If you would like to have a full and in depth review, I would highly recommend you to hop over to Linda’s blog where you can find complete swatches and great insights for the new cc cream.

Many thanks to Orchard Ion and YSL Singapore for making this post possible! Okies now! Here’s an abrupt ending as I make my way out of the door for dinner now! 🙂 Talk to you ladies soon!

Thanks for the link love, Qiyun! Glad you’re enjoying the Forever Youth Creator skincare range!
Yes I am! 😀
