Bottega Verde La Mia Crema Review

Bottega Verde Singapore Review

Everyone’s skin is unique, that’s why we have so many different brands and products on the market to address the different needs around the world. Not all skins are equal, but what if there is a product that’s uniquely made for you?

Introducing La Mia Crema from Bottega Verde – a ‘Personalised’ Anti-aging cream dedicated to each customer and their specific skin type. According to factors such as hydration, surface lipids and age, the creation of the personalised cream is divided into three basic steps.

  1. Skin Analysis

It all starts with a skin analysis to ascertain skin type and skin condition. This skin analysis is carried out by the Bottega Verde Team with the help of a digital device capable of analysing the hydration level of the skin. Analysis from different parts of the face is taken to obtain a more even and accurate result.

Then, a short questionnaire is carried out to complete the analysis with the customer’s age and other evaluation elements. At this stage, I was given 2 valves of different cosmetic scent for a whiff –  a citrus, fruity fragrance and a softer, delicate floral one. I always love citrus fragrances and Bottega Verde’s fruity option for their La Mia Crema hits me at right spot!

If you notice in the questionnaire below, there is also a option to indicate current season (winter, spring & summer). This takes into account our surrounding environment as our skin changes according to seasons – dryer in winter and oiler in summer. For Singapore, we are summer all year round thus the selection for summer. However, if you are personalising a La Mia Crema for travelling to cold countries or for a cooler season, the resulting personalised cream will be different.

  1. Cream Creation

From here, the skin analysis result will be sent to Bottega Verde’s laboratories in Italy which has created a series of formulas that meet the demands of different skin and age types. This is done using extraordinary active principles such as Hyaluronic Acid, vegetable caviar Phito x.2. and Fomes Officinalis – chosen according to the obtained results from the skin analysis. We are all familiar with Hyaluronic Acid, but how does Phito x.2. and Fomes Officinalis benefit our skin?

Phito x.2. is a multi-vitamin (rich in vitamin A, C and E ) containing Shea Butter and Avocado. It not only has anti-oxidising and moisturising properties, it also encourages healthy cells reproduction in the deeper layers of our skin. Phito x.2. also helps to block free radicles from entering our skin, keeping it young and youthful looking!

Fomes Officinalis on the other hand is a type of fungus that grows on tree trucks mainly found in Eastern Europe. It is a natural astringent that is not only great for sensitive skin (brands such as Simple use this ingredient in their products too!), it also helps reduce pore size, refine skin texture and gives the skin lasting hydration.

Viola! I have my very own personalised skincare product with my name written on it!

  1. Delivery of the Personalized Cream

The customised face treatment will be available for collection 15-20 days after the order has been placed. Simply pick it up from the same store where the order was placed!

How I love the classic and woody feel to the packaging! It even has a ‘wax stamp’ to certify that your Bottega Verde La Mia Cream is authentic and made specially for you! The glass tub with natural wood cover makes the product really nice to hold and adds a touch of class and luxury, completing the ‘specially customised for you’ experience.

The product is of a lightweight medium creamy consistency, which may be a turn off to some ladies who prefer gel-like textures – but don’t turn your attention away just yet! I found this product works pretty well in our humid weather and I found my makeup holding up better (doubles up as a primer!). It also contains SPF 15, which makes it a awesome day cream if you are in a rush or just needed some light UV protection while you work away indoors.

The product also gives a instant whitening/ brightening effect blurring pores and immediately makes skin look smoother and more refined. I love that it is lightweight and absorbs quite quickly into the skin, leaving no greasy after-feeling at all. I have been using the La Mia Crema had for more than 2 weeks with no breakouts and I found that the natural astringent does helped in soothing and curbing re-inflammation of broken skin (you know, those pimples that never die!).

  1. Hello there! I know this is kind of off topic but I was wondering which blog platform are you using for this site?
I’m getting fed up of WordPress because I’ve had problems with hackers and I’m looking at alternatives for another platform.
I would be great if you could point me in the direction of a good platform.
