‘Burger & Lobster’ is a popular chain of restaurants in the UK, specialising in (you guessed it), burgers and lobsters. Its outlet in Resorts World Genting is Burger & Lobster’s first forage in South East Asia and judging from the long snaking queues, they’ve made the right move.
The atmosphere at Burger & Lobster is a mix between an American-themed restaurant and a pub. There’s even a bar inside which makes this place the perfect hunt with friends.
Burger & Lobster’s menu is supremely minimalist. There’re only 3 types of mains to choose from – burgers, lobsters and lobster rolls. Check it out!
The B&L Burger
As you might know I’m somewhat allergic to lobsters, but I couldn’t resist trying! And thus I ordered a burger which had a small slice of lobster in it. Their signature burger, the B&L Burger, was a deceptively filling piece crafted with sesame seed brioche bun, 100% Australian beef, beef bacon, fresh lobster and loads of.veges and their secret lobster sauce. You’re given disposable gloves to eat it with so you can bite off chunks of the burger easily, using both hands – the only proper way to eat a burger. I liked the lobster meat best. While relatively tiny, it was sweet and succulent and made me regret not ordering a dish with more lobster. Instead, I had to steal some of Qi Yun’s food away from her. The portion was so big, she couldn’t finish her share anyway >.^
Original Lobster Roll
Qi Yun order an original lobster roll, which looked amazingly delicious as well. Mixed with a special Japanese sauce, the lobster roll features generous chunks of lobster meat wrapped in a toasted broche roll and accompanied with chips and salad. Lobsters from Burger & Lobster are imported fresh from Canada each week, ensuring that you’ll savour every bite (we did). The lobster was deliciously fresh, chunky and the portion was absolutely generous. It’s served with a sweet and sour lemon sauce which makes the meat even more juicy and succulent!
Chili Lobster
Available only in Malaysia, the Chili Lobster is a seriously huge portion for one person. Our friend, a full grown man who ordered this, could not finish his meal. While the chili Lobster is a perfect balance of spicy and sweet; the chewy dollops of fresh lobster meat is the main reason why you’ll want to get this. Lobster lovers will go crazy! While at it, don’t forget to order a fancy drink! Each cocktail or mocktail concoction is specially created by B&L to go your dish so go ahead, pick one and bring your tastebuds on an adventure!
