Review: SOZO Hair Salon

What to do when you are brain dead from lack of sleep and you are still waiting for BF to pick you up? YOU BLOG!

Are you the kind who buys from deals thinking that you have a good 3 – 6 months to utilise to deal, then MAD RUSH to utilise it just a day before the expiry or just… leave it to expire?!

I am this type of person! Last Friday, I realized that my SOZO $38 Hair Treatment + Wash + Cut deal was going to expire in a week’s time and I’ve planned to use on Monday, then it became Tuesday. But Tuesday was too busy and Wednesday’s meeting over-ran, so it became Thursday. But Thursday was flooded with tsunami of emails so it became Friday – The LAST DAY! It’s either a go, or a waste of $38. And I was seriously considering to forfeit the  deal as I didn’t slept till 6.45am last night and forced myself to wake up at 7.30am (ok, forced by Shawn) so I can hitch a ride to the city in the comfort of a chauffeured car. I practically didn’t sleep at all.

But I still went ahead coz I am a miser.$38 bucks is too much to just throw away and my hair needed some professional help. Just look at how Chui it is, taken this morning on the way to the Salon (I was dropped at a convenient MRT station nearby). It looked like something black and sluggish just flopped over me.

I rushed out of the house with only my base. It's naked under that pair of shades.

With the potential to become something like this..

Haunted by your own hair?

I think..

So I dragged myself there and since I had to wait awhile for the hair stylist to finish off her previous customer, I started cam-whoring.

Check out my new Nail Art! BF sis got the Magnetic Swirl Nail Art Polish from John Little Sale at Expo. Pretty? Should I do a blog post dedicated to this?

The Hair Stylist who attended to me was Vicky Jang. She’s a 100% Korean who came to Singapore 2.5 years ago as she love Singapore. She love Singapore’s Weather. Yar. It’s not a mistake, I double checked with her as I thought I might have mis-understood as her English is not that proficient. All these while we dream of Korea’s beautiful scenery and cool Autumn and Winter weather. As the saying goes, the Grass is Always Greener on the other side….

Basically I did my Hair Treatment first which I’m not too sure what kind of treatment it was as I just keep falling asleep in the Salon. I wanted a quick trim to remove any spilt ends, yet maintain the length as much as possible as I love my long hair. I guess because my request was pretty simple so there’s lots of time for her and my hair is really long and nice to play around with, Jacky asked if she could style my hair alittle more. I sleepily nodded to agreement at the great excuse to be LaLa-Land a little longer before heading to office 😛 I wish I had taken more pictures for my readers to go through the process with me, but I ZzZzZzz-ed all the way, so what you are going to see will be a sudden jump from a Kookaburra to a Swan. Heh, I actually think I look good under the professional hands of Vicky Jang!

Check me out! – and of course, Vicky’s great handiwork!

Really happy that she took the extra effort to curl my hair! Wasn't really expecting this, it's perfect!

Such pretty curls! Too bad it's only temporary. Now I am thinking if I should go back to curls?!

That's Vicky! She's the senior stylist, and I can really see that she's really passionate about her job! Plus, she's a beauty!

As usual my big head looks really big beside all the small pretty delicate faces…

The reception - They have really good customer service. I was late for half an hour and they accommodated to my needs, always smiling while serving!
