Sometime in April, Shawn got to know of Mark who does leadership and training activities for troubled children. One of the cool stuffs he do is to bring these children out for Tree-Climbing, open to public. Shawn was invited to one of the Tree Climbing session and I thought Tree Climbing would be a handy skill to master – in case I got chased by a Lion in Africa one day I could escape by climbing a tree. Or so I thought.

Well, that’s not the top. I got tired and decided to come down after hitting 80% completion.
No, frankly, I freaked out at the top with horrible imaginations of the rope snapping or the harness giving way or maybe the Tree might like topple with my weight on it, my hands went jelly I got to come down 🙁
But Shawn made it to the top! He’s the man, he better do!

It may look easy and comfortable sitting in the harness but the fact is you’ve got to pull yourself up. Not as boring and tough as rock climbing, but still a good cardio workout. But it’s all worth it at the top with the great scenery of the beach, sea and ships far far away in your Eagle view (or Monkey view).
Want to have a better idea of how’s it like to ‘abseil’ up a tree? Here’s a video of me climbing up Level 3 Tree!
Let me know if you want to join in our next Tree Climbing Trip!
i want to climb trees too! i only climbed a very low one once.
Gotta find at least 12 people! Maybe after you’re back from US?
