Genting Highland Richard Cafe Review

The go-to place for coffee. This place has one of the best artisan coffee Qi Yun and I have ever tasted. In fact, we liked it so much that we visited this place twice in a day, for teabreak and for supper!

Cafés Richard is known for its dedication in roasting and serving coffee, earning it its reputation as the number 1 roaster in France. With classy décor and even classier waiters who refer to you as  ‘Monsieur/Madame’, Cafés Richard exudes an undeniable air of sophistication.

Café Au Lait

Full-bodied French Press coffee served with hot milk. Interestingly, this beverage came with a white porcelain bowl which you use to mix the coffee and milk. Café Au Lait is traditionally eaten with croissants, and the white bowl that comes along with the drink allows you to dip your croissant into the coffee. Great for those who like their coffee a little sweet.

French Genting

This alcoholic coffee cocktail is unique to Resort World Genting, having been created to commemorate its 50^th anniversary. It’s a lovely blend of traditional French orange liqueur ‘Grand Marnier’, espresso and local Bentong ginger – a seducing combination of East and West. Qi Yun liked this drink so much, she insisted we came back again for the 2^nd time in a day just for the drink! A definite must try.

Le Festin

Besides the coffee, Cafés Richard serves amazingly good pastries and savouries. Le Festin, aka the Feast, is served in a cute 3-drawer cabinet and is suitable for 2-4 people.The 3 drawers contain different flavours of the available high tea sets  – ‘Pastries & Sweets’, ‘Desserts’ and Savoury Selections. From bite-sized escargots stuffed with garlic parsley butter to rich crème brulee, there’s something for every everyone!

BTW if you noticed my magenta hair colour, it’s done by my hairdresser Zavier and it’s super gorgeous!
