Part of the 25 shades includes 2 new and interesting colours – Exotic Yellow and Forest Fantasy that changes your lipstick shade according to your mood simply by layering them over the base colour. Applying Exotic Yellowbase lip colour produces a tone-up effect while applying Forest Fantasy tones down the base color. Check out the swatches and shade changes below. Take note that swatches are done in this order, from left to right —>>> First image shows lip swatch prints from Laneige on the left, shade name and number in the middle and corresponding lipsticks on the right. Second image shows shade changes on the left with ‘tone down’ on top and ‘tone up’ below, actual shade swatches without toning in the middle and the corresponding lipsticks on the right.
The reformulation gives longer staying power and intense colour payoff without compromising on moisture content. It glides smoothly and easily onto the lips with great adherence to the shape of my lips. I once wore it to a Gala dinner and was amazed at how I could wear the product all night long with great comfort as though there was nothing on my lips. The product stayed on through the night without loosing colour vibrancy as I enjoy my fine dinner. I later found out that this is all thanks to its latest ultra-micronised pigment technology that ensures pigments are packed densely together to ensure increased vibrancy for a longer time.
The new lipstick packaging is also sleeker and sturdier with contrasting white and silver magnetised casing – a simple and elegant design which I very much prefer. The magnetic cap snaps smoothly and tightly, saving the all-too-familiar make-up pouch disaster when a lipstick uncaps by itself!

omg!! love the colours of the lipsticks, they are gorg especially #345!! i’ve never tried laneige’s lipstick before but only kylie jenner, colourpop, faux fayc etc. maybe i should give it a try ?
